教学内容:story time, (第一课时)
教学目标:
(一)知识目标:
1. 能够听懂、会说、会读故事中出现的词汇:
2. 能够听懂、会说、会读句型:
Is/ Are there…There is/are…  How many …are there?并理解句型的意思。
3. 能够听懂、会说、会读日常用语:It is on the… floor. Let’s go and have a look.
(二)能力目标:
1. 学生能够阅读并理解故事;
2. 学生能够在理解的基础上表演出故事;
3. 学生能够改变故事并试着表演出来。
(三)情感目标:
让学生体会到阅读故事的乐趣,培养学生阅读的兴趣。
教学重点:
1 能够从整体上阅读故事并理解故事;
2 能够语音语调正确地朗读故事、复述故事。
教学难点:
能够根据课文内容创编剧本并表演。
教学准备:
1教师准备:PPT pictures, cards, tape record,配套软件。
2 学生准备:听5story time录音。
 
教学过程:
Step 1 Pre-reading
1.Free talk
教师和学生一起唱四年级上册U5中的歌曲I love my bedroom,然后用There be句型改编歌词内容。教师也可以喝学生一起复习房间类词汇:bedroom, living room, kitchen等;
S1: There is a sofa in the living room.
S2: There is a chair and a desk in the bedroom.
S3: There is a bed in the bedroom.
2 Listen and guess
T: We learn to speak, read and write in this lesson. What lesson is it?
Ss: It’s Chinese.
T: We learn A B C in this lesson. What lesson is it?
Ss: It’s English.
T: We learn to sing and dance in this lesson. What lesson is it?
Ss; It’s music.
T: We learn to draw in this lesson. What lesson is it?
Ss: It’s Art.
T: We run, jump and play ball games in this lesson. What lesson is it?
Ss: It’s PE.

出示课前准备好的楼层示意图,师生交谈谈论图上设施的名称。
T: There are some pictures of our school. What can you see in our school?
S1: There are …
S2: There is …
S3: There is …
Step 2 While reading
1 Watch and answer
教师呈现一幅四层的教学楼。
T: This is our classroom building. How many classrooms are there in our school? (指向每一层楼) How many floors are there in this building?
Ss: There are four floors.
T: Yes, there are four floors.(指向第一层) Let’s count the classrooms on the first floor. How many classrooms are there on the first floor?
Ss: There are six classrooms.
T: yes. How many classrooms are there on the second floor?
Ss: …
T: Where is our classroom? Is it on the first/second/third floor?
Ss: It’s on the…
 
2. Listen and answer
教师播放课文录音,设计问题检测学生的理解情况。
T: Who is Nancy? (Teach: student)板书
   Who shows her around the school? (Teach: show… around)板书
   How many classrooms are there in their school?Teach: classroom)板书
   Where is their classroom? (Teach: second, floor) 板书
 
3. Read and answer
教师安排学生独立阅读对话,获取相应信息,或填写数量,或打钩,完成表格。

4. Sum up and say
教师可以继续利用表格信息,要求学生用完整的句子进行表述。可以安排学生小组活动,也可邀请若干学生自由选择教室进行表述。
S1: There are 24 classrooms in the school.
S2: There are two computer rooms in the school. They are on the third floor.
教师也可根据表格信息和全体同学或者个别同学进行问答活动,操练there be 句型的特殊疑问句和一般疑问句。
T: Is there a library in the school?
S1: Yes,there is.
T: Where is it?
S2: It’s on the third floor.
T: Is there a music room on the third floor?
S3: No, there isn’t. It is on the first floor.
 
5 Write and say
教师安排学生独立完成学生用书P18Write and say活动。
学生错误第一步写的步骤之后,教师可以安排学生两人活动,仿照范例说一说。
 
Step3 Post reading
教师可以鼓励学生扮作Nancy,用there be句型介绍自己的新学校,达到复数课文和巩固语言知识的目的。教师也以将课文改编成Nancy的自述,让学生填上关键词语。
 
Step 4 Homework
1. Copy the new words.
2. Read and recite the story.
